Do Good Co. has been up and running for six months now, and it has been an absolute honor to be able to share our passion of child and animal welfare with each and every individual who has walked through our doors.
At the heart of our mission are the Kansas City based organizations KidsTLC and KC Pet Project. The funds that KidsTLC receives from Do Good Co. directly impact children and families that are struggling with autism, developmental disabilities, developmental trauma, psychological issues and homelessness.
“With the support of our community, KidsTLC enriches the lives of these children by creating supportive family-focused communities to build resilient relationships, and to transform sometimes painful realities into hopeful futures full of courage, warmth and joy,” said Tacy Alber Mattis, KidsTLC director of marketing.
In addition, Do Good Co.’s donations help facilitate the care of ill and injured pets who arrive at KC Pet Project on a daily basis. The shelter cares for nearly 10,000 animals a year and works tirelessly to increase the number of homeless pets adopted, and focuses on lifesaving programs promoting pet retention, identification, lost pet reunions and pet ownership education throughout the community. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to creating a No Kill Kansas City.
“KC Pet Project is an honored charity recipient of Do Good Co. and we couldn’t be more excited about this wonderful partnership," said Tori Fugate, KC Pet Project director of marketing and communications. "The shop has been an amazing addition to 39th Street West and to Kansas City."
