Ever wonder what we do with clothing and furniture that doesn't sell in the store? We donate to amazing organizations like EPEC, which stands for Empowering the Parent to Empower the Child. Their mission is to empower parents to become self-sustaining and to care for themselves and their children through parenting programs, life skills and job training. One of their programs, The Grooming Project, teaches single mothers pet grooming to provide them with valuable, in-demand skills.
Recently, we partnered with a team from EPEC to curate a special selection for their clients. Students of The Grooming Project shopped for clothing and home accessories for their families. It’s important to us that all of our donations find the right home, whether sold or donated. We are grateful to coordinate these kinds of partnerships!
We’re big fans of our community, which is why we also donate some of our goods to other local nonprofit organizations including Operation Breakthrough, Giving the Basics, Hope House, Scraps, and UMKC’s Professional Clothing Closet. If you’d like to learn more or become a part of our monthly donation pickup program, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or visit our website.
